Rangers hero Ally McCoist revels in Celtic loss as he trolls Alan Brazil

ALLY MCCOIST has been revelling in Rangers’ famous win over Borussia Dortmund – and Celtic’s disappointing defeat to Bodo/Glimt.

Everyone’s favourite Scottish football pundit appeared on talkSPORT’s Breakfast Show earlier as he made an unscheduled appearance alongside Alan Brazil and Ray Parlour.

His former side pulled off a stunning win in Germany on Thursday, as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men came away with a 4-2 victory.

Meanwhile, later in the evening, dropping down to Conference League action, Celtic were defeated at home by Bodo/Glimt 3-1.

McCoist has been on holiday this week so hasn’t appeared on the radio station as he usually would between Monday and Thursday.

However, the Ibrox legend couldn’t resist the chance to gloat about his team – and troll Celtic-daft Brazil over his.

McCoist shot back: “What a performance that was. In all seriousness, we had a wee prediction before the game and I said, ‘I’d bite your hand off for a draw’.

“I know they were missing the big fella (Erling Haaland) up front, and the tie’s not over, but what a performance and result that is.

“Tell you what, I’ve been doing a bit of homework because I knew you’d want to know one or two stats, Al.

“It’s the first time since 1964 that a British team have scored more than three goals against them.

“See every time the ball hit the back of that Dortmund net? I could just think about Brazil. That’s what I was thinking about!

“Barisic should have scored earlier on in the game, Rangers played… as poor as they were against Celtic weeks ago in the league, they went the complete other end of the spectrum. They were fantastic.

“Ray, you need to do me a favour, mate, and find out: I think Celtic have still got a chance to go through, but see if they do get knocked out? Is that them straight into the Eurovision Song Contest?”
