Ange Postecoglou on developing connection with Celtic

ANGE POSTECOGLOU is not the sentimental kind and in his short tenure has made no attempts to overcook his affiliation with Celtic.

He has, though, spoken of his connection now with the club and the thrill he has got from being Celtic manager.

Unknown when he first arrived in Glasgow, the Greek-Australian quickly endeared himself to the support through his football philosophy as well as his straight-talking conduct.
His first press conference when he was introduced to little fanfare and on the back of a prolonged Eddie Howe circus offered an indication of his mentality as he spoke with a candour and an assurance that suggested a level of self-confidence necessary for the post.
He has since joked that the Celtic support “probably had to Google me.”

“I’ve enjoyed every minute of it, I love it,” he said. “I love the fight and the struggle as well.

“I loved the early bits when things weren’t going well. If it’s going too smoothly, that’s when you’ll hear me grumpy and unhappy!

“I’ve enjoyed it immensely. I’m really passionate about what I do. I love this club and everything to do with Scottish football.

“There are no bad bits for me, I’m enjoying every second of it. Long may it continue.”
