ABERDEEN star Christian Ramirez has tonight found out that it’s not acceptable to comment on other Scottish teams playing on TV.
That certainly seems to be the case on social media, with the striker forced to delete a tweet commenting on Rangers’ stunning victory over Borussia Dortmund this evening.
Watching on from home as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men cuffed the Bundesliga giants in the first leg of their Europa League tie, Ramirez tweeted: “3-1 what a game so far”.
He accompanied his post along with a Scotland flag, signalling that it was a good result for the country.
But his tweet caused an angry backlash from Aberdeen fans, therefore leading to him having to delete.
In response, he added: “Deleted, jeez I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to watch.”
Former Hibs star Martin Boyle clearly knew there was going to be a further reaction to the post, as he interacted with a GIF of someone eating popcorn.
It’s fair to say the social media post didn’t go down too well with Dons fans, who were keen to remind the American of the rivalry with Rangers. Some in a kind manner, most not though.
